It’s been run into the ground. It's surrounded by evos.

$1800. Tops. It will drain you though. It’s not like a 240 or 700 series.

If you like Volvos it seems to be a cool import, I’m not sure how much the fixes are but you don’t see those everyday and that’s pretty cheap.

- tells you what it cost new as if that were somehow relevant or impressive

- “simple fix” that he just hasn’t got around to

- transmission issue

- automatic

That being said, still cheap. Offer 1200 and maybe it’ll all work out.

Bad idea. Find a good 60's - 70's -80's muscle car and LS swap it a far better use of funds.

Looks to be in really good shape

Keep in mind a “simple fix” on these rarely ever is. However these should have the decent transmissions.

Mods seem kinda questionable. Ad bounces all over the place.

I wouldn’t go over $2000. $1600 seems fair to me.

262K miles and a transmission issue. Even though it’s said to be a solenoid, I’d be suspect. I would think if it were an easy fix, it would have been done and there would be no mention of any issue.

Pass.

Very fun cars. I had one one upon a time. I would be wary of the “simple” transmission fix and the mileage mostly. Specifically the mileage because it very easily could be much higher than that as the odometer gears break often and people neglect to repair them. You never know if someone drove it for 50k without the odo then fixed it before selling. I wouldn’t pay more than $1500.

Reasons not to buy it;

1. If it really was a simple fix, it would already be fixed.

2. There’s an “lol” in the ad.

3. Buy this car if you hate money.

As a certified Volvo Tech, personally even I would pass. Too many miles (and I’m not afraid of that sort of thing), Autobox on the fritz (stupid expensive to replace like VW Passat W8 alternator install expensive), every damn thing you replace on that car needs a dealer to program a module to the chassis because Volvo, and at the age, it will nickle and dime you to death. Sure it may be as simple as a shift solenoid, but what’s next? when was the timing belt done last? ($1500) what do the brakes look like? ($250 per axle) cv boots and axle health? ($500 each) does the AWD work properly? (gets expensive fast) was it driven by some kid? (more worrysome that a guy named Butch asking what size your pants are after returning home from prison) All price estimates include install at a Volvo dealership.

Just my two cents.

if its a second car to play with, friggin jump on it. those cars are a blast to drive. DO NOT daily this thing. it will steal your wallet and break your heart.
